Actually Free Image Editor

Free online image editor: crop (even passport sizes), resize, blur faces, remove backgrounds, convert and compress — and compare before you save.

What it does

ActuallyFreeTools’s image studio crops, resizes, rotates, blurs and cuts out photos, then converts and compresses them — free, in batches, with no upload. Drag a crop box on the picture, drag over faces or plates to hide them, remove the background with on-device AI, and compare the result side by side with its file size before saving.

How to use it

  1. Drop one or more photos.
  2. Use the Crop, Resize, Blur & hide and Background tabs — everything happens on the picture.
  3. In Save, pick JPG, PNG or WebP and an optional size limit, check the before/after, and download.

Questions people ask

Can I edit several photos at once?

Yes. Each photo keeps its own crop and blur; format, size limit and resizing apply to all of them, and Save all gives you a zip.

Does it work with iPhone photos?

Yes — HEIC photos open directly, and saving as JPG makes them readable everywhere.

How do I hit an upload limit like 50 KB?

In Save, choose “Must be under 50 KB”. The preview shows the exact size before you download.

Is Image studio on ActuallyFreeTools really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no daily limit, no watermark and no paid tier. Nothing is held back for paying users.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Image studio runs inside your browser, so your files are processed on your own device and never sent to a server. That is also why there is nothing to meter or charge for.
